Hi again peeps,

So when i unzipped the chipset one it came up with instructions as well however the instructions say this > go to device manager and click the + next to network adapters however i dont have one thats called network adapters.

Do the device manager bit with the + sign for all USB devices listed there.Right click on each in turn and choose update driver.

Download and run,one may give you an error the other should run and install.

ok done that , infact i downloaded the drivers onto cd again just to make sure i was doin it right.

both downloads come with quite a few icons.ill tell you what happens with both

Unzipped one saved to desktop then it automatically started saying install shield is preparing to set up then just dissapears - i waited for a while but nothing happens -0 then tried to go to the usb and update drivers, i told it that i would find the file then it says that the specific location does contain information about drivers?

Second one does not automatically start so i saved it to desktop then tried updating the driver - actually says its been installed and updated however ive still got a yellow thingy next to it in device manager? and it still dont work

Ethernet controller
Universall serial bus (USB) controller
