Exclamation home network with windows 98 and windows xp
I am trying to setup up a Gateway desktop running windows 98se to my home network. I am using a 2wire external modem/router. I have other computers on the network using windows xp home edition. The Gateway has a Realtek adapter installed, which gives me an ethernet connection to the 2wire modem/router. I cant seem to get the realtek adapter driver to stick and all I am getting is errors in the device manager regarding the realtek adapter and internet connection sharing on the Gateway computer. What do I need to do to make this connection work ?

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.

Go into device manager and uninstall ALL old drivers for this card they maybe corrupt.

Then try and download new one and install.

Could you post the errors please.
