Someone told me that iin order for me to log onto another pc is that it has to be on the same network and that didn't make sense to me. So that's why I'm trying to figure out once and for all how to access a remote pc. I know I have to configure both pc to do this but can you tell me exactly what to do or where to go that's going to explain this in plain details? I'm really not trying to pay for anything if I don't have to. lol But I like to learn this and be successful at this with this forum's help.
The easiest way is to use ShowMyPC in the link I gave you. It's free and simple to use. You just download the software to your computer, you get your customer to download it to their computer, when they run it they just click Show My PC Now - it will generate a password.
They give you this password - you run ShowMyPC - click View a Remote PC and type in the password they gave you. The other persons desktop will then open in a window. It's that simple.
It establishes a secure connection and you can fix their computer.
