Default Possible to boot computers out of network?

My internet connection was running slow and I clicked on the NETWORK on the start menu and I saw another computer other than my own on it. Is there a way to disconnect it or prevent it to connect other than a network key because I already have one and I don't know how the other computer is still connecting.

This is why wireless networking has password capabilities.

Recommend implementing password protection to block out unwanted users.
