Default Possible to boot computers out of network?

My internet connection was running slow and I clicked on the NETWORK on the start menu and I saw another computer other than my own on it. Is there a way to disconnect it or prevent it to connect other than a network key because I already have one and I don't know how the other computer is still connecting.

Are you using wireless networking?

This is why wireless networking has password capabilities.

Recommend implementing password protection to block out unwanted users.

Just to add - if your using WEP it doesn't suprise me the other pc is still connecting. It takes less than 15minutes to crack WEP encryption and get access to a wireless network.

If your wireless router supports it - i would set up WPA2-PSK AES. It's much more secure and your neighbour wont be able to access your internet connection anymore.

Also most routers support only allowing connections by MAC addresses. You can tell it to only allow your mac address and your neighbour won't be able to connect anymore. I also recommend changing the default password on the wireless router if you haven't done so already.
