Default [Answered] Network drive with 2 networks

Hello all

Here's the situation: I have 1 pc with 2 network connection, 1 is for the pc and the other for vmware. one of the conection is blocked in vmware but i would like to connect a network drive from the pc ( not on the same connection)

is this possible without unblocking the connection in vmware?

this is all done in windows xp environement

I'm not sure exactly what your trying to achieve but I'm assuming you have a NAS drive and would like to connect it to the PC.

If it was me I wouldn't connect the NAS drive directly to a PC. I would connect it to a router or switch on the network and access it that way.

Please post back if you still have problems or I misunderstood your question.

What im trying to do is access a network drive that is on one domaine (main PC) from another domaine (VMware) that are not in the same tree(2 different networks)... I know this is all confusing... im trying to explain this as best I can...
The users have 2 work station in one computer, one of them is accessed in vmware and the network drive is on the other environnement... From the VMware I want to add a network drive that is already a network drive on the other environement wich is on a different domaine.

For the nas, I believe we don't have acces to make those configurations but i'll check it out

I don't really know that much about VMware or how to use it properly. Hopefully the following link will help:

Using Shared Folders

You will probably need access to the NAS to be able to do the above. Let me know if the above link does not help.
