Default [Resolved] Boot computer from network drive.

I built a digital photo frame from an old laptop but the hard drive is so darn loud, I would prefer to just take it out. I don’t think this laptop is new enough to have the ability to boot from USB. So I was wondering is there a way to run the computer off a network drive and do all this over 100mps network. I realize this may not even be possible. But I thought I would just check first. Thanks

Hello Justin,

Unfortunately, there isn't actually a way to boot a computer off of a network drive. If you're 100% sure it is the hard drive itself making all the noise, you should be able to find a laptop hard drive pretty cheap to replace it with.

Hope that helps!
