How many ways are there to boot a Cisco router and what's the description of them? Who can figure that out?

As I do not fully understand your question and you did not even give us a make and model have a read of this?

What I'm saying Jellybean is that, regardless of what the model of the router is, you still have to boot the router up to manage it or make configurations. What I'm saying is, is there more than one way to do that and the description of it?

If you wanna get technical, its a 3600 model. Nothing's wrong with the router at all.

I'm not trying to configure a router or 3600 for that matter, I'm merely asking is there more than one way to boot a router?

The answer is 4 different ways and they are: NVRAM, FLASH, TFTP and ROM, in that order. It only goes trough those steps if the previous step before it, beginning with FLASH, doesn't have the IOS image.
