Well, fastest wired networking is gigabit ethernet, there's 100G Ethernet in the works for 2010.. And Draft-N can be found on most any recent laptop and router nowadays, though a bit expensive currently as it's still fairly recent.

I spose for "geographically large areas" there's GPRS, EDGE, 3G on cellular networks, and WiMax should be hitting soon hopefully.

So is T1 and T3 is slower or the same as gigabit ethernet and 100G ethernet is totally different from these also? Where is it that I can find these new technologies at to read up on it? What's the most popular wireless technology that's most popular on laptops and routers before Draft-N came about? What's the deifference between the two? GPRS, EDGE, 3G and WiMax are going to replace WAN and LAN or what's the signifigance with these technologies? Cell phones are using wi-fi and what else that's going to be replaced by these? If my questions are too much, you can tell me where to look and I'll will go there.

T1 and T3 are mainly meant for business, if you want a blazing fast connection, check out FiOS
from Verizon.

You can just use Google to look up information really.

Most popular before Draft-N is Wireless G, but Draft-N is much faster and has a wider coverage area.

GPRS, 3G, EDGE are just meant for cell phones. WiMax is meant for long-range wireless but not necessarily highspeed, so it most likely won't replace home-wireless either.

So 100G is slower than FiOS? I take it that gigabit is 1 gigabit and 100G is 100 gigabit, correct?
