several times a day the "1394 lan connected" comes up in the lower righthand corner of my pc. why does this happen? is somebody using my wireless signal without my permission?

Hi,If the device is not in use go to device manger and disbale it.If you wish to use it in the future you can always enable it again.

well my son uses it for his laptop but this pops up even when he is not home so was just wondering if it is telling me that someone else is using the signal .
