ok, now my internet is "working" but its connecting and disconnecting like every few minutes. Its been good for a while with a speed around 52mbps and now it just goes back and forth between around 20 and being disconnected. It stays disconnected for 15 or so seconds and connects again.

Why don't you try unplugging all your equipment that connects you to the internet, your modem, router and wireless access point for several minutes.

Then, start plugging everything in, starting with the modem and working your way downstream.
If we're lucky, something just needs to be restarted.

What is the access point exactly? I thought that was the modem.

Oh, sorry, I had a Wireless on my mind.
Just unplug your modem. If their is another box between your computer and the modem, unplug it too.

Ok, that didnt work (sorry for the week in between).

Its like it'll be ok for a while, like a few days, and then it has a bunch of issues. Like right now I'm having trouble loading several websites and an online game I play wont log on cause the connection is all wacky.

ok I thought that these issues were resolved as it went away for a while but, its not.

I'm having severe problems with it again. It will stay connected for all of a few minutes and then no signal for 10 - 15 seconds, it reconnects and starts over again. Its getting VERY irritating because I cant do anything without it disconnecting me.
