Default [Fixed] copy and paste to a remote PC

Hello,
I’m frequently working on a remote computer and sometimes I would like to copy something from my “local PC” and paste it on the “remote PC” but when I try to do it,it does not work.
I can copy and paste stuff on the from one program to another on the remote PC or in the local to local, but when I try to copy from my "local PC" and paste in the “remote PC” when i right click, paste is greyed out.
Can someone explain why this happens?
Thanks in advance

It depends on the software you are using. Have you tried something like uVNC...this will do all you need for free!

Thanks for the reply
It depends on the software you are using
the software I'm using is Telnet. ?"I think"
It's whatever came with WinXP, both PC's use XP.
Have you tried something like uVNC

If jplink is actually talking about "copying" files and then "pasting" them, then uVNC would be a better option with direct file transfer.

I just found this from Microsoft.com

The Features of the Remote Desktop Client in Windows XP

Copy and Paste Files

You can copy and paste the files between the remote session and local computer, or vice-versa, by using the Copy and Paste feature.

Why doesn't it work when I do it.????

Both PC's are using Win XP
