Hi guys, I am a new member (1 hour). I had a similar problem but went about it fixing it the wrong way I think. I went to microsoft and downloaded network diagnostics software which then redirected me to get help.

My sympton was "the page cannot be displayed".

Here is what I have done and the outcome. Downloaded a network diagnostics exe. file. I produced a report from it and in summary it says

ARP cache has been flushed, ip address detected and is 192.168.1.10, connectivity is valid for all Winsock service providers, network status connected, HTTP error 12007 connecting to microsoft.com, same for HTTPS, FTP etc.

I then decided to go back to basics and fiddle around. I found that my broadband connection had dissappeared and I was left with a dial up connection. So I set up a broadband connection and now it I only get "web page unavailable offine". I have run out of ideas. Any ideas?
regards Raffaele
