Default New pc for my kids

I have bought a new pc for my kids xmas and i purchased a router to internet enable it - Gplus Mimo router (belkin)

My broadband carrier is virgin and connection is 2 meg, i havee no problem whatsover with my connection when using it everything set up like a dream and kids are really happy.

My problem is that when both my kids want to play a game against each other only one pc will allow the internet to be used at a time the other one is mega snail paced , when one is in use the other isnt both are working fine independantly.

Is 2 meg broadband spedy enough to handle the internet on both pcs simultaineously ?

Please help

It's not neccessarily the broadband connection, but the amount of bandwith required for both of the PCs when they are accessing the game simultaneously. Are they using the wireless or the wired connection?

Not too techically minded , but its a wireless router so i guess the computer is wirelessly connected and downstairs pc isnt ?

If you can, try connecting them both via a cable, to the router and see what happens.

This should do the trick - Newegg.com - AMC CC5E-B50G 50 ft. Cat 5E Gray Cat 5E 350 MHz UTP Gray Network Cable - OEM

You could also read your router's manual regarding configuring MIMO, it should speed up the wireless connection.

i have a cable long enough to do this on my system i think it was this one as your in the UK might be a better option.
Belkin High Performance Category 6 UTP Patch Cable 10m (32.8 ft) Blue - A3L980B10M-BLUS :: Cables :: Peripherals :: Burn-media.co.uk

this one is even longer if your worried about it only just being over 30 ft

RJ45 CAT-5e Snagless Molded Patch Cable Grey 15m (49.2 ft.) - A3L791B15M-S :: Cables :: Peripherals :: Burn-media.co.uk
