Default Anyway to fix this router?

My old Linksys BEFW11S4 has been ok for a while but lately it's been giving me some problems.

Web pages load slow. Unbearably slow. Worse than dial-up. Some have you waiting multiple minutes.

The weird thing is that if I use a program like say, bittorrent, the download speeds are exactly as they normally are. I can get up to 300 KBs on download and the files themselves can finish. But webpages just don't work well regardless of web browser.

I tried changing firmware and there was no change. I also unplugged the router for several hours to see if it would help, but alas...

Also, this occurs on all PCs on the network, on the wireless ones and the one directly connected, so I don't think it's a problem on that end. I didn't make any configuration changes to my router when this occured. It just started happening

Do you think there's anything I can do, or is this RIP to my old friend.

Hi and welcome to PC Help Forum.

What speed do the router config pages say you are connected to your ISP at? Does this tally with your expectations from the service you are paying for?

I've been all around my router config but I never saw any information like that.

But anyway, this problem persisted for about 24 hours. 2 hours ago, the problem has seemingly corrected itself for no reason. I know it was the router since direct connection to the internet worked fine. God this router is such a headache...

Well replacing it can't come soon enough.

Well, thanks though
