Default 2 computers + 1 ethernet hub = problems

ok, me and my friends get together and have lan parties once a week.

my computer and 2 of my friends computers can connect just fine, but for some reason the 4th one wont connect.

we have done nothing to any of them. they are just from factory and unchanged. if we run internet connectoin right to the 4th computer it works fine but that doesnt help the rest of us. as soon as we ad the hub to the mix 4th comp dont work...(we have windows xp pro by the way.. if that helps)

help me

Disable any firewall on the 4th computer & try it through the hub (in case the firewall is blocking the assigned IP address from the hub)

Just to make sure I'm getting this right:

1. The 4th computer connects to the internet with no hub involved.

2. The 4th computer doesn't connect to the internet through any of the available ports on the hub when nothing else is attached on the hub.
