I have a wireless home network set up and am sharing a dsl connection. I have no problem with the internet and printer sharing, I can see my laptop in "My Network Places" on my main PC, but when I try to access it, I get a message saying that access is denied and that I do not have permissions. When I try to see my PC on my laptop, nothing shows up and I get the same message when I try to view workgroups. I can tell you that my firewall is off and printer and file sharing is on. All PC's & laptops are in the same workgroup. Any suggestions?

With Windows Firewall..."off" doesn't always mean "off"

Goto Start -> Run -> services.msc
Scroll down to Windows Firewall, double click on it and select "Stop"

Try accessing the network share now. If that doesn't work, trying going to Start -> Run -> type in \\ip address of the computer
