I am having trouble sharing a printer on a wireless network running 2 laptops, both running xp pro. I have shut off the firewall and used the network setup wizard on both. When I try to set up a new printer, I choose a network printer and it finds 2 or my 3 printers. I have installed and uninstalled the 3rd printer several times, but am not having any luck on my own. I have downloaded the most current driver. I have even tried to hook it directly by usb cable and still had no luck. Any suggestions!

Hi Normaly all I do is on the PC where the printer is connected go in to the printers and faxes section and right click the printer and select share. Then on the othe PC go to browse the network click on the PC that has the sharesd printer connected to it then you should be able to see the printer right click it then click connect. Done. If you have multipul printer appearing delete them all unplug the printer reboot the PC an plug the printer back in you should only have 1 then.

that is the correct way to do it when everything is working properly, but in this case the printer that is shared does not show up when searching the network for printers.

Does the other PC appear when browsing the network? and just no printer?
