Default Networking Issues (File sharing)

Hi all,

Ive been trying to get a home network set up but i've run into a few problems.

First of all i'll give a bit about whats allready setup.

I have 1 main PC which is plugged into my Netgear wireless router via an Ethernet cable. My other 2 computers, 1 Desktop and 1 Laptop all take the internet from the wireless router.

Now i'm trying to get them networked together in order to share files and the printer that's plugged into the main computer.

I've set up a Microsoft Network through the wizard but neither my laptop, or my second wireless PC will connect to the folders that are shared from my main PC. It just says that I may not have permission to view them.

When I go to my network settings on my main PC and click to view computers in the workgroup, it only lists itself.

Anyone know what im doing wrong here?

Thanks
Rich

Did you check and see that your Windows firewall is off? Also, make sure your Antivirus program is set to "Trust" the new network.

Hope that helps!
