Default Plz Help with work from home network

Can any one plz help me?

I am trying to set up a network between my home computer running Vista Ultimate and my work computer running XP Pro; Both machines or on broadband, I often need to transfer large files between the two, up to date I have been burning the files to DVD-RW, taking them home, working on them and then taking them back the next day, their must be a easier method than this. I have set up a small, two computer network at home to share internet and printers using a wired router, but I have No idea how to set up a network over the internet.

Any help would be great

Thanks

I'd say look into a VPN (Virtual Private Network)

Here's a link that should help you along, thing is though will your boss approve?

Virtual Private Networks

Thanks Lebowski
I think so, he said it would be ok, as long as it was secure and it wouldn’t cost him anything, tight ****.
Thanks for the advise I’ll look into a VPN

If you do not feel comftorable using a vpn try this CrossLoop - Simple Secure Screen Sharing It is a version of vnc that is secure and very easy to setup. I use it to troubleshoot my dad's computer all the time since he likes to mess things up. Lately, I am testing DeepFreeze on his computer, but that is a whole different story.
