Well I enter my ip adress in my browser bar and the login prompt comes up. So I type in admin in the password and hit enter and it does not work. I'm not sure if anyone has made a user name or password. Is there a way I can get a user name and password to login to this or am I just screwed?

Are you trying to access your router / modem control panel using something similar to these?
Code:
http://10.1.1.1/ or http://192.168.254.254/ If this has been changed by someone else, you have no way of getting in...

Hi spkid18,
There's normally a default password set on routers, these can normally found in the router manual. However, default passwords are normally. Username: admin Password: [blank] Username: admin Password: admin username: admin Password: password And finally for the older netgear models: Username: admin Password: 1234 If not, it is possible to reset the password on *some* routers. If you give me the make and model? EDIT: Sorry Arctos, didn't realise you posted. |

errrr... ok, the Linksys routers normally have a reset button. Holding this button in for 30 seconds will perform a hard reset, and should reset your password (should be admin, admin), but it will also reset all of your settings also.
