Question Forward Ports?

Hi PC Help Forum,
i am a online gamer and i play a game called counter strike 1.6 you must know what it is...and i want to run my own server which is called a dedicated server in order to do this i need to forward a port so people can access my server from out of my network i believe....how can i do this? the port it uses is '27015' i need to open/forward it on my PC & Router....the router i am using is NETGEAR WIRELESS ROUTER 'DGB111G'...can anyone help me to forward this ONE port?? thanks

yo thanks scouse but i dnt see my netgear model there and i went to my 192.168.0.1 but it didnt have the same options u rekon u could help thanks ?

Default Port Forwarding

You can try PortForward.com (http://portforward.com/) although I didn't see your router listed there either.

However they have a small applet you can download that will take screenshots of your router admin pages and then hopefully they will be able to make a guide for it. I used to them to set up port forwarding for uTorrent, but there ended up being an issue with my ISP which they couldn't resolve.

Nonetheless, they were very patient and helpful.

but i tried to do it and it still dont work please any suggestions ?
