Hi Hengis,

I checked the settings and once again looked at how the network works.
Here are the results:
- all 3 computers have the same DNS (Connection-specific DNS Suffix)
- all 3 computers have the same Subnet
- all 3 computers have the same Gateway
- all 3 computers have the same 3 parts of the IP address; only the 4th part is different in each of them - for HPHost it is 128, for Laptop it is 100 and for Game it is 101.

Laptop:
When I clicked on "My Network Places" at Laptop, 4 shared item were shown:
My Documents and Shared Docs fro both HPHost and Laptop (no shared items from Game).
When I clicked on "View workgroup computers", 3 computers were there, with HPHost and laptop itself accessible - when clicked to open on their icons, shared folders and shared printers were listed. But when I clicked on the icon of the second PC - Game - I got error message - not accessible. You might not have permission... Access denied.
Another starnge thing was when I clicked "Back" from the listing of shared items:
"Naszasiec" (it's the name of my workgroup - network) is not accessible. You might not have... The specified network name is no longer available.

Then I went to the third computer - Game and checked the numbers and the connections.
When I clicked on Network Places, shared folders of all 3 computers were shown. When I clicked on any of them - they were accessible, I could open all of them (NOTE: - as I wrote before it doesn't happen when laptop is not use for some time - 30 mins or so - requires restart to have it working again - I'm waiting for help on that - if it's normal for laptops, etc. But right now I was just using it so everything from Game side was OK).
Also I clicked on "View workgroup computers" while at Game, all 3 computers were listed and when clicked on their icons, shared docs and printers appeared (Note: - as above - sometimes laptop is not shown when it's not being used for a while).

OK. Please tell me what can be improved and if that strange things with laptop are normal?
Thanks,

Stan

Hengis,
I forgot to tell you, that when I go to "Network Places" at the host (HPHost) and click on View workgroup... I see all 3 computers, but when I click on Game's icon I get the "Not accessible" error message and that I don't have permission. It's not true - I'm the administrator!

Hengis or Gromit!

Could you please look at my postings and help me with my network?
I see that almost 600 people were interested in finding solution to the same or similar problem(s).

Please help.

Thanks,

Stan
