Absolutely

On the "other" PC - Click on control panel > users > add a user that matches the user that you use on the first PC.

so having done this does the "user" have to be logged in before I can access the drives?

Nope, the mere fact that you have the same user with the same permissions on the other PC will give you access...the PC needs to be switched on of course.

Thx for you help. I have send a donation from my paypal account (****us2001@tampabay.rr.com) It isnt much but hope it helps. This site is far to valuable to those of us who cant afford the bench time
