Default [Pending] Securing Proxy server ?

Checked to see If i have any open proxies on this site.

Details about your particular proxy

You have a misconfigured HTTP Post proxy on port 80, these types of proxy are a standard part of many web caches and web proxies, they are designed to allow web based forms to be submitted but they can be abused to send many different types of data, from emails to IRC connections. To make this type of proxy secure you need to limit the web cache or HTTP proxy so it can only be used from specific IP addresses (your own network), another option might be to password protect access to the proxy. Many web servers include a HTTP proxy function, for example IIS and Apache (with mod_proxy). Another type of application that can open this type of proxy are advert removing programs that require you to use them as a proxy.

You will need to have an idea of some details of how your network is configured first. Details like the IP addresses of the machines that you want to allow access to or in some cases the IP address of the internal interface of your server. If you do not have these details you will find them in the Network properties on Windows (or by using ipconfig /all at a command prompt in Windows 2000 or XP or winipcfg on Windows 95, 98 and Me). Alternatively on Unix systems the command ifconfig -a will give the current IP address(es).

I have absolutly no idea how to fix this. Can someone please help.

Hi jorviper99,

I apologise for noone replying to your question earlier and understand that you might not read this post.

If you do, can you please explain in greater detail the error? What are you trying to do? The error stated above is a discription of an error and doesn't really help me out too much unless you give me the specific error.

Anymore info you can give on this subject would be most helpful.

Marked as Pending for now.
