Default [Pending] Link-sys router

Hi there

My son has a link-sys WRT54G 4 Port Router in his home. It has suddenly stopped
working, and his thought was to re-install the drivers. He can't find the Installation
CD. When I went online for him, the link-sys website indicates that there are no
drivers needed for this router. Do you have any thoughts on this?

Thanks very much

Hi

No, there is no need to install a driver on your PC for the router to work. The problem will be related to the configuration of the router - you will need to use the web administration to change this. Is there an icon that shows a connection has been made between the wireless network card in your PC and the router itself? (by the clock, bottom right). If there is a "connected" icon then there may be a problem with your internet connection - either way you may need to configure/check the configuration of the router. Open your web browser and type in: 192.168.1.1 then hit "go" - this should allow you to check that all of the settings are as they should be on the router.
