I've been uniformly naming the few cleints I have on the network and all was going well and I was happy. Then on the last machine I get an error that says "The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials".
Now I am not so happy.
No other PC on the network has the same name so where is the conflict?
I have reset the PC in AD and tried readding it at the client but I have had no luck. I've been looking around the web but havn't found anything truely useful.
This is a small problem but highly frustrating.? :x

Ok, solved my own problem.
All connections to the server must be disconnected in order to rename a client.
I had failed to notice a shared folder and that was holding me up.
Once disconnected the new name took.
