Would you be able to give us a bit of background information:
  • How many on the network
  • What OS is this computer running (the one that came up with the error)
  • What OS is the computer you are trying to connect to running
  • How are you trying to connect to that machine. (are you using the RUN menu and typing \\station1 or are you going through network places e.t.c)

Are you running on a domain?

Alright, might be a stupid question (so forgive me) but have you checked whether they have the appropriate permissions.
I have found Windows XP to be extremely sensitive about permissions.

I am assuming that the two PC's that cannot connect have a certain login name (e.g Station1 , Station2).
You will need to add that name to the following parts of the shared folder.

Go onto the machine that has the shared "My Documents" Folder and go to the properties of it.

Under Sharing go to Permissions and add the user in there. Also click on security and add the users in there.

Let me know if this helps

Alright, ummm, have you tried adding the user under the Security TAB.

Might be worth trying to share another directory on the machine that isn't working and giving everyone full control. (just to test)
