The DV6000 CTO does not have a fingerprint reader.
Most probably you are looking at a different model.
Can you post here the Part Number (P/N) of your Notebook?

I cannot find that laptop with a finger print reader but the next one up has...anyways the software for the one up is:

AuthenTec Inc. AES2501 Fingerprint Driver

Hello, sorry for the late replies, im on holiday thats why.

On top of the screen itself it says HP Pavilion dv6000 ... but on back of the laptop it says dv6500 :S

so im guessin its DV6500
