Pending: Microphone & Audio drivers

Hello.

A few months ago, my Realtek Audio Manager software would often not work, disabling my audio. I download a newer version of the software and it works fine now.

However; My microphone volume is constantly reset to 0 on every computer reboot. I am getting pretty fed up of having to constantly open my Microphone menu via control panel and turning it up to ~65 to be audible.

Could anyone please suggest a decent working software that can handle audio & microphones? I've searched for a while now, not to prevail.

PS. I use Window Vista home premium, 32 bit.

Hello joelsfallon and welcome to the PCHF

Have you downloaded the SP2 for vista yet? I use Realtek and there was some updates for that software with all the other updates that came with SP2,mine seems to be woking fine..

Hi, Thanks for getting back. I downloaded and installed vista SP2, Unfortunately the problem still persists.

Thanks for the suggestion, i'm sure SP2 would have sorted out any other problems i might have had previously though this one remains. It would be great to get a link of some program that takes Realtek's place!
