Solved: Help me!!

Recently my hard drive crashed so i had to get a new one.
I had a bit of trouble getting it working at first but its fine now apart from the fact that there is no sound and i cant put it onto standby. I have downloaded the sound driver for it from the Dell website but when i attempt to set it up it says

"Installation Failed- The audio Driver files do not support your hardware"

I have a Dell Dimension 4700 that is running Windows XP. Im not sure about what drivers etc. i have though. (although if needed i could find it out)

Sorry for taking so long, i had a bit of trouble getting round to the back of the computer and then i pulled out the keyboard input and couldnt find it

!!UPDATE!!

Ive got the sound working now, just cant get the standby to work..
