Then unfortunately you cannot install it as you will have hardware parameter issues and it is also against the Microsoft EULA on OEM operating systems.

Your only option is to buy a new copy of XP.

The windows disc was supplied with the PC so I guess its OME as i didnt buy it from a shop.

Ive got the Bios to reconise the HDD now by removing sockets and replacing.

With your arrangement you can change any aspect of the computer and not violate the EULA, except the motherboard.

This the word from Microsoft.

Hardware changes

Generally, you may upgrade or replace all of the hardware components on the computer and maintain the license for the original Microsoft OEM operating system software, with the exception of an upgrade or replacement of the motherboard.

An upgrade of the motherboard is considered to result in a "new personal computer" to which Microsoft OEM operating system software cannot be transferred from another computer.

If the motherboard is upgraded or replaced for reasons other than a defect, then a new computer has been created and the license of new operating system software is required.
