Default Strange Mobo Problem..

Have a biostar TA780G

And PC won't boot At first the PC would boot but bluescreen when it tried to load windows (XP home edition 32bit) but now, the PC boot's but doesnt show anything on-screen.

Does anybody have any idea what's wrong / what to do?

Something similar happened before except everything would boot, but instead of everything being in english it would be millions of strange symbols everywhere.. I just left it for a while and it was ok again.

Haven't done anything out of the ordinary/haven't tried overclocking etc. It's just a gaming PC. 2GB Ram, GeForce 9600, AMD Athlon 6400 x2 2.7ghz.

Don't know if those specs will help troubleshooting but it's worth a shot.

I'd say the onboard graphics controller is faulty.

Can you borrow a PCI graphics card, install & see what happens?

Ill try that tomorrow thanks, however, i have two monitors, oneplugged into the graphicscard, and one plugged into the onboard graphics, so i'm not sure if thats what the problem is, as i said, it was booting up in some form before and now it doesn't boot up at all, the PC turns on but theres nothing on each screen =/.

Thanks again for the input though i'll give it a try and let you know what happens *thumbsup*

Boot into BIOS if any screen works - reset to defaults.

or

Remove CMOS battery & do it that way.

Bios doesnt boot, that's the problem, and for the life of me i can't find the cmos battery, and if i remove the cmos, do i need a new one to replace it, or just place the same on back in?

And what way do you go about doing it?

And the onboard graphics makes no different either.
