My system restarts fine but the last two times I have fully powered it OFF, powering it on has failed. It seems to be in a loop probing the floppy and DVD drive for something bootable. I don't think I even hear the POST beep and I don't see any of the BIOS startup info.
While in this loop pushing the reset button or holding down the power button has no effect. I have to disconnect it from the wall power. It started up normally both times after disconnecting and reconnecting the wall power.
This is pretty scary because I don't know if this will get worse.
I'm wondering what I should be looking for?

sounds like a power supply issue to me they are fairly cheap and easy to replace. This would be the first thing to try
