Default How tu put the Bios by default on a Optiplex 270

Hi all !

I am following a formation in Informatic Maintenance and I need some help !
I have seen a person who made a combination of buttons of the keyboard in order to put the bios by default on a Dell Optiplex 270. But I don't remember his manipulation... And i have recently met a problem with a Dell Optiplex 270 and I think the issue is to load optimized default (in the Bios) on this system. Do you know the combination to put the bios by default on a Optiplex 270 ? Thank you !

Cya all !

Welcome to PC Help Forum
Please find a jumper on your motherboard for a CMOS reset (you might have to check the manual of your motherboard to locate it)
Most of the time just shorting this jumper will do. Some motherboards require you to short the jumper, then boot the computer, then shut it down again and put the jumper back. Be sure to check which of the ways is needed for your system.

This webpage is from your Dell Service Manual for the Optiplex GX270. It describes and illustrates exactly what you need to do:

Documentation

First determine which form factor board you are using and locate the password jumper and RTC reset jumper. Then all you have to do is move the jumper from the password jumper pins over to the RTC reset jumper pins, wait 5 seconds, and put it back. Make sure the battery is in when you do this; there is no booting required.

Here are some links to important documentation for your computer:

that would be way too dangerous, as kids would always be setting it to default. There is no keyboard combination to get the BIOS to reset. You have to use jumpers as stated above, or at least try to take out battery for a few minutes. the keyboard will do alot inside of windows but "outside" of windows there is no combinations, just buttons.
