Hi

We have just got an Abit TH7II mobo with a P4 1.9ghz sckt 478 CPU and 2 sticks of 128mb ram (two blank plates in other empty slots)

We have plugged everything in and the pc starts up (lights on mobo come on and fans spin etc)

But we have no picture on the monitor.

I have tried a basic 8mb agp card ,a 64mb Nvidia card and an old PCI Grafix card but nothing happens.

There is no VGA port on the mobo so I am at a loose end of what else to try.
I have built a few PCs and never had this happen !!??

Hi Welcome to PCHF

Does not even show "no signal" ?
You could have a bad cable
or dead monitor-- it is unlikely 3 different cards are all bad.
or the mobo itself --also unlikely
Got another cable/monitor you can try ?

Hi, The monitor is fine We use it for another pc, We have got it to post etc installed windows,rebooted,but now says C1 on the POST panel which is something
to do with the memory, I have tried changing the memory round and putting it in one by one it will boot again properly after this but if you reboot again it gets stuck on the code C1 or AF.

Is this a good brand of RAM ?
OCZ/Crucial/Kingston--?
or Joe's cheapo RAM ? (no offense)
