My pc has compleately died on me and i need help to fix it.
when i turn it on it beeps once like it used to when it worked then just goes to a screen with QDI worldwide mainboards logo. i tryed putting in my windows disk and it wont work.

all i want to do now is wipe it clean and start over.

if anyone can help i would be very gratful, i going a bit loopy as i been without my pc for months

when you get to the screen with the "QDI worldwide mainboards logo" does it give you an option like boot menu or set up? if not try just pressing a button like escape or delete or one of the f buttons. if you get to the boot menu just select your cd drive with the windows cd inside the drive, or if you end up in the bois settings insted look for boot options and move the cd drive to the top of the list then reset the pc with the cd inside. i hope this helps if not someone else will reply.

@ me067, my welcome to you as well, I don't believe I've had the pleasure. Thanks for helping out, we can always use an extra pair of hands.

@ JotPunk, I think what me is trying to get you to do is to get into your BIOS. If you have not set the PC to boot from the CD player, then it won't work, because the computer is trying to boot from the HDD and can't. So it hasn't loaded the CD drivers.

Do you know how to get into your BIOS? If not, can you please post the make and model of your PC and we will find the correct key sequence to get you in so you can change it.
