Default Need a new motheboard! What to buy? EXPERTS NEEDED

I need a better graphics card but the newest wont fit into my slot? So instead of buying a new PC and throwing all the hard work I used on this one (New CD drive, RAM upgrade) just upgrading my motherboard.

Also, the motherboard would need to be able to have 2 front USB slots, and a Lightscribe CD + DVD reader and burner all in one (these are all on my current motherboard). The reason I want a NEW motherboard is to have a better graphics card, like Nvidia, instead of my current Intel 82865G, but my current one only has PCI slot and I would need a PCI Express 2.0 slot. Thanks.

Current PC info:

Hello and welcome to PCHelpForum.

We have a great Tech Team who will help you find what you are looking for.

Most new boards do accomidate for front USB to be connected. On average upto 4 USB ports can be added.Or 2 USB and a card reader.

What graphics card are you thinking of buying?
Are you also concidering crossfire or a SLI mainboard.
I assume you are also looking into buying a new processor? Are you thinking of Intel or AMD,dual core or quad core?
Do you want a mainboard that can accomidate 4 gig of RAM or higher?
Are you going to install XP 32 bit wich only reconises 3.25 RAM or XP 64 bit wich will reconise more. Also do you need a mainboard that will eventualy have Vista installed?
How many SATA/IDE connections do you require?
Also upgrading a mainboard and CPU will proberly require a larger wattage power supply.

What is your price range on the hardware you wish to purchase?

I will mark your thread as "Open" in readyness for the Tech Team to help you with your questions.

JB.

I need the new graphics card to be one that can handle games like Call of Duty 4 or Team fortress 2, so it has to have a relatively high mem and a good pixel shader etc. The RAM can stay at 1 gig and the processor is also fine. The graphics card basically needs upgrading.

can you please tell us your price range? price is very important when buying a motherboard; depending on how much you want to spend affects the quality of the MOBO you can buy.
Also I need to know if your processor is a 775 socket, and what kind of ram you have, is it ddr, 667 mghz? please respond with Ram and CPU info.
Another thing, you're probably going to want to purchase a new powersupply so that you can run a decent motherboard, if you don't already have a 500Wat supply.
