hello,

i am typing with my wii remote, please bare with me.

i purchased a new mobo, cpu, video card, and memory (see my pc for details).

after install i couldn't get into bios from bad p/s2 port. returned mobo for same model. all was well for a day. i installed sp3 update and restarted pc. upon restart i had no monitor, mouse, or keyboard. all fans are running and seems that hdd is trying to start windows. i thought my psu had gone out, bought a new one, same problem exists. mobo go out again?

here is an update.

i took the mobo back and exchanged it for an MSI K9N-SLI-F V2. The problem still exists.
not sure where to go from here.

Did this problem arrise immediately after installing SP3? I've heard of it's imcompatibilty issues, but this would take the cake.

it did not happen immediately after sp3 install. also i don't believe this is a software issue, but i'm no expert. i was having an issue with windows updates after sp3 install so restarted my pc. thats when all went blank. i'm guessing at this point it's the cpu, but it's a guess.

Was there a reason that you replaced all of those items?

Did you make sure that they were all compatible when you made the purchase?

i was doing this as an upgrade. i started with the mobo and made sure all were compatible. the ecs mobo i had originally said it was designed specifically for the amd phenom. which is the way i want to go.
