Default My pc freezes

I have
XP Pro
Amd athlon x2 3800+
Asrock
GeForce 8600gt
480watt power supply generic
The problem is that when the pc starts the the letter looks screwed up. Patterned dots all around the screen.
Sometimes my pc just freezes and I have to restart!
And now my pc doesn't even recognize my gfx card.
I don't know what to do with it!

Sounds like your graphics card overheated and/or Failed. You will probably have to buy a new graphics card. those dots are called artifacts, and they definetly point to a failing graphics card.

Open up your computer, and turn it on. Check that the graphics card fan is turning, and see if the heatsink is clogged with dust. It is unlikely, if it is a victim of overheating, that you will be able to recover it, but if it is full of dust, clean it all out with compressed air, or a vaccuum cleaner.
