Exclamation Fitting Motherboard

I have a Packard Bell ixtreme 6087 PC at the moment it is now a bit long in the tooth, so I was wondering if it would be possible to fit a Motherboard Bundle and would it be difficult for me never having no PC building skills. I would appreciate any help.

Welcome to PCHF.

If you have no experience with the hardware workings of computers and have no friends with computer hardware skills to guide you, then I recommend you purchase a ready make computer. A used computer would be better for you.

Even if you had manuals to guide you, the terminology would probably confuse you. I'm all for trying new things, but there is no substitute for experience.

Also, you will need more than just that kit to build a computer. Even if you bought all the hardware you needed and could put it all together, there are three possibilities. First, everything words find (unlikely). Second, the minute you hit the power switch the computer blows up in your face (possible). Third, the computer turns on but nothing works (most likely).

Well, that's my two-cents worth for you. If I were you, I'd take a hands-on course in Beginner computer hardware. If after that you still want to build a computer, all the power to you and we will still be here to answer any questions your have and by then you should even be able to understand our technical answers.

This probably isn't the answer you were looking for, but I'm not trying to sell you any hardware.

Good Luck

I think you are painting a very dark picture there Gandalf. I had no experience when I built my first machine

Everybody has to start somewhere. If you take your time and read all manuals and carefully follow my guide the build should go ok. Of course if you have problems you can post about them and I am sure someone will be able to tie them down.
