Hey Derek,

Let's see if Aw is around, he can probably point you in the right direction.

I'm pretty sure he's online.

Hey derek, how are ya? This isnt the X38, but its the better X48 and its also a DFI so its THE BEST pretty much for overclocking. Try this one. Newegg.com - DFI LP LT X48-T2R LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

Why not Asus they are wicked overclockers. The DFI lanparty boards are very good and come with a passive/active (if you add the fan) northbridge cooler which allows good overvolting the NB. Bare in mind though it is big and may well get in the way of some of the larger cpu air coolers such as the noctua.

DDRIII or DDR II though? If its DDRIII then maybe the Foxconn black ops(very expensive but its sweet) or the Abit Hotfoot may be worth a looksee

bare in mind we are only 4 months off Nehalem though

Maybe he doesnt want an ASUS for the same reason I am hesitant to buy an MSI again, he has had a bad experience or two from them. I think, unless he has price limitations, my previously recommended DFI board will suffice.

But he still has not answered if he intends to use DDRII or DDRIII if it is DDRIII then he is limited to the LTT3RS or the UTT3RS X48 boards which are not that easy to come by

And the DDRII boards in the UK are >£150 and close to £200 for the better ones

BTW whats the point of showing someone a board on a US site when he/she is from the UK?

Components » Motherboards » Intel 775 (X48 Chipset) - Overclockers UK DDRII

Scan Computers UK: DFI LANPARTY UT X48-T3RS, S775, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR3 1066/1333/800, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX here is the DDRIII board

I show it because I know how to easily navigate the site, to find the parts. If he/she requests it, I then find it on the site of their choosing, if possible. I would also assume s/he wants the DDR2 board since DDR3 really isnt worth the outlandish cost quite yet.
