Exclamation primary ide channel n0 80 conductor cable installe

Hi all
Right on one ov my pc's hat ive built im getting a constant problem saying "primary ide channel n0 80 conductor cable installed" ive replaced my 40 pin 40 wire cable with a 40 pin 80 cable and still the problem is there it will go to start up but then goes like in a ring back to post screen and so on any ideas ? Also on bios it says that my hardrive is set on primary ide slave but its jumpers are on master

Motherboard that im ive got in it is a DFI cm33-tL
And the hard drive is a Quantum fireball Standard

Have you tried another harddrive to see if it works? God, Quantum... Wow lol that thing must be ancient

lol. Yeah its a old one its outer my 1st pc . Ive checked it with another hardrive and still get the same problem . it trys to boot up after post screen and then restarts itself ive also tryed clearing cmos jumper but no hope .

Sounds like a motherboard issue then. Make sure the cables you are using are good, and not damaged
