Default What motherboard would you buy?

If you had an Intel Q9450 Quad Core CPU and wanted a stable quiet unit that could perhaps overclock a bit what would you buy and why? $300 maximum budget.

I've for some reason been a regular Asus user and have been perusing the P5Q-E but haven't ruled out DFI Dark Series and even looked at an MSI P7N Diamond.

Bear in mind I don't game but I do run my units hard 24/7/365 working on distributed computing.

I like quiet so don't much care for designs that rely on chipset fans.

I have the XFX 780i 3-way SLI and it OC's good and runs great, mine is running a Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz OC'd to 3.37ghz and is running stable.

The DFI boards are awesome the X48 ones make me dribble . I am running the P5Q pro rock steady board loads of features and a lot cheaper

The DFI boards have a nice passive northbridge which would limit your cpu cooler options however

Well I did a fair amount of reading reviews and from what I saw the X48 doesn't appear to be "all that".

I do have the urge to play with something different though and after seeing some pretty impressive overclocking results I settled on the DFI LP Dark P45-T2RS Plus motherboard.

Hopefully I won't regret that choice.
