Firstly I apologise if I have posted this in the wrong section. I have XP Service pack 3 + IG RAM installed on my PC and have broadband internet access. A couple of days ago I looked at my modem and the PC activity light was not on and then I found that I could not turn my PC on. I tried to see if everything was plugged in correctly and it appeared that it was. I then to returned later (about five hours later) in the day to find that I was able to turn the PC on and everthing seemed to be working OK. The PC worked OK for about three days and then this morning I awoke to find I could not turn the PC on again. The strange thing is again later on in the day I find I could turn the PC on and everything is running OK (I think!!). Is it a problem with the motherboard or something else?? I am totally confused?
PS. The title of the post should read Strange problems PC startup!!

Hi
it could be a contact issue have you tried removing all cards and RAM and re-seating them in there original location. The other think it may be is the PSU
