I was recently using my computer and my computer just froze, i tried to ctrl alt del but nothing so i turned it off. When i turned it back on it started up normal but then froze at the blue hp screen, and i couldn't select anything. I reset the cmos, unplugged everything except the essential things need to run the computer and nothing. I even unplugged the hard drive and tried to boot it with the Ultimate boot cd still nothing, Clean every component on the motherboard looked for burn marks checked to see if anything was visually wrong with cpu. i tried the memory in another computer and it works, reseated also. I just cant figure out whats wrong with it. would it show display if the cpu or mobo was dead?

have you tried accessing the BIOS by pressing F2 or DEL at POST?
Also is there a jumper setting on your MOBO for BIOS recovery sounds like an issue with that if you do set it to Recovery boot let it do a recovery and set it to normal again.

Yes, I tried to press all the buttons on the keyboard, it acts as it was froze at that screen. And there is a jumper and i tried that also still nothing. note: this is the first time i have had or tried to fix this kinda problem. most of what i done so far is from reading alot of forums of people having some what similar problems.
