Default Linux support chipset?

May i know currently in the market, what manufacturer's motherboard design supports all platforms of linux? I am currently hoping to purchase a motherboard, but i would like to integrate a beginner's linux onto my hdd. Alas i do not know of any chipset that supports linux, i would greatly appreciate if anyone would provide me with some insights thank you.

Hi
Linux has one of the biggest Driver and Chipset databases in the world i would use Ubuntu as a beginners one and it will install drivers from CD or a network,

Generally all hardware is compatible with Linux.
