Default What is Wrong??

A problem plagues my pc and i cannot put up with it any longer, its getting to the point where i want to blow it up with a small nuclear bomb. The problem is that my pc makes a noise in games. At first i thought the problem lay with my Geforce 8800 ultra. This is not likely the case. My reason is that i tried a Geforce 8800 GTS in the pci-e slot and it did the same. Now i believe it is the motherboard. In Crysis, not only does it make a noise when producing in-game graphics, but also at the splash screens when starting up the game. Each time i press escape to exit one of the spash screens the noise goes away, then another splash screen comes up and the noise comes back. The noise seems to be different according to what game i play (different pitch, volumes, and nature). Another example - In steam, when the box pops up telling you that someone has logged in or has started a game up, the pc makes a noise for the duration of the box moving, then it reaches its position and it moves down out of sight - porducing the noise. Yet another example is in flight simulator 2004, when i pan the screen at the sky a noise comes on, but it is very different it sounds like a constant clicking, short bursts of the noise i hear in every other game, but when i pan the "camera" at the ground the noise goes away. What in the motherboard could be causing this problem? Please help me, i will be glad to provide any other information. Thankyou.

ive already got the latest drivers, i still get the noise even when the sound card is out of the case. i've noticed i dont get a proper beep when the pc is booted up it sounds weak, think this is related? When i listen to the sound it is as if it is coming from around the pci-e slots, to the left of the first one. When i uninstall the graphics drivers there is no noise so i think its a problem related between the graphics card and the motherboard
