Default Foxconn Motherboard - continuous fast beeps on startup
I just put together a PC but havnt been able to get to BIOS yet. I know all the parts work together but I dont remember the specs off hand. I do know that the motherboard is a foxcon SiS 661FX7MJ and the CPU is a 775 socket. I've tried moving the chassis intruder connector jumper but nothing changed, and I tried moving the clear CMOS jumper but it wont even power on in the other position. What are my possible problems with this continuous series of short beeps?

Hello,you say you just built the system?
You installed the operating system then you put in Motherboard disk that came supplied with your board?
You cannot enter BIOS untill this disk is put in.

Are you using a USB keyboard and mouse?
If you are these need to be enabled in BIOS.If you are using USB keyboard/mouse plug in a normal keyboard and mouse to enter BIOS.

I just tried both RAM chips by themselves and still got the same beep error.
I have a Phoenix - Award BIOS and it is a constant short beep so according to that chart it is a RAM problem. I am going to go get my RAM tested.

that forum is designed horribly I dont even want to try to browse thru all that garbage.
I couldn't get the RAM tested at the PC repair store down the road the other day so I don't know if the ram works or not :/ are there any other posibilities? the award BIOS only has 2 types of beep errors so I dont really see how it can be so specific.

If you have a floppy disk drive you can test the ram yourself by using Memtest86+ on a bootable floppy:
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
It's the last download for version 2.01
