Your not really helping us help you here. We have next to no information on what hardware your using . Without more information we can not help . you say you have seen the rest of the parts post ,you say this is your first build and its not posted yet. This is conflicting information. You was asked for photographs so we can rule out mistakes

Ok a picture of the inside of your computer tower of the way you have it connected up.Also a picture of how the fans are connected. Are you sure it is not the power supply?

Are any fans spinning? Is the CPU fan spinning?Any lights showing on mainboard or front of tower?

It is either CPU or RAM.

I just need a clearer picture of what is happening.

You say you bought a new mainboard did you replace the CPU?

As the origonal problem may of been CPU not mainboard.

Both fans spin normally, everything on the inside seems normal when I turn it on. The CPU is 2 or 3 years old, the power supply is almost brand new. To explain further when I said I've seen all the other parts work together, I paid someone at a PC repair shop to build it for me months ago but then the motherboard went bad within a few days.
I have 2 sticks of off brand 512MB DDR ram and the video card is an old AGP A97P Radeon 9700 Pro.
I know the ram is missing in these pics, I still have them in the other machine that I tested them in.

what do you mean by "edit cpu header"? I don't know what a cpu header is.
